Watering

Check each houseplant's root-zone moisture and drainage, then adapt watering to its species, container, light, and actual growth.

Group pots by observed drying, review exceptions when growth or weather changes, and give a helper a clear route rather than identical doses.

Check which pots actually receive rain, keep outlets clear, and restart irrigation from root-zone moisture after the storm.

Choose a practical inspection time, water dry root zones promptly, and keep wet foliage and drainage separate from the clock.

Rehearse irrigation and helper instructions before departure, using actual container demand, drainage, and backup access.
